A very mobile wicket keeper, Andy is constantly taking difficult leg side deliveries. His presence is a comfort for the slip cordon, whose job he makes far easier. His animated character also makes him a nightmare for batsmen to perform in front of. His batting style is in line with all of the top wicket keepers; he is a dogged fighter and is not easily removed once set. He scores freely from anything on his hips, and often plays the cut shot effectively.
